The $2,200 covers full logistics, hosting, and access — not individual line items. We arrange and schedule your private sessions with world-class maestros — Pancho Martínez Pey, Anita Ponce, Sabrina Veliz, Los Totis, and others from our personal Buenos Aires circle, depending on who's available during your dates. You don't need to research or contact anyone — we handle the scheduling and make sure it fits your week. We also organize entry to 11 real milongas, guide you through the city, and are with you daily for support, translation, and recommendations. Lesson fees are paid directly to the maestros — around $100/hr, still below what you'd pay for equivalent access at home.

Because every dancer travels differently. Some prefer a boutique hotel in Recoleta. Others choose a simple apartment near the milongas or stay with friends. Instead of charging everyone for the same accommodation, we help you choose the option that best fits your budget, location, and travel style. You book directly with no markup from us.

Every dancer comes with different goals. Some participants want four lessons. Others take eight or more. Some focus on technique, others on musicality or connection. Rather than forcing everyone into the same package, you pay the maestros directly and decide exactly how much training you want. We arrange everything and build the schedule around your goals.

We organize entry to a carefully chosen mix of traditional, alternative, and live-orchestra milongas — 7 evenings and 4 afternoons. The exact selection depends on the schedule during your dates.

Two guided tours, chosen to match your group's interests. Options: San Telmo — the oldest barrio, cobblestone streets, tenement houses where early tango took shape, and the legendary Café Tortoni. Abasto — Carlos Gardel's house museum, the Gardel subway station, and the Paseo del Tango with life-size sculptures of the orchestra legends. Almagro & Boedo — for returning dancers, a quieter local route through cafés where golden-age tangos were written. La Boca & Caminito — for first-time visitors, colorful streets with real immigrant history. Most groups do San Telmo + Abasto as default.

Accommodation is not included — by design, so you choose how and where you stay. We know the city well and recommend well-located, well-priced hotels and apartments in Recoleta, San Nicolás, or Microcentro, and help you book them directly.

We accept bank transfer, card via Stripe, and PayPal. Deposit $700 USD — due 45 days before start (30 days for select months). Full payment due 15 days before start. Details sent after we confirm your place.

Yes — strongly recommended. Coverage should include trip cancellation, medical expenses, and emergency evacuation. We cannot issue refunds for cancellations without insurance.

Our first group starts August 18, 2026 — the Mundial de Tango edition. We run 1 group per month. If your preferred month is full, we will add you to the waitlist.

A detailed day-by-day schedule is provided before the trip begins. In general, mornings are for private lessons, afternoons for milongas or city tours, and evenings for the finest milongas in Buenos Aires — with your hosts alongside you throughout.

Participants are free to make their own decisions about which milongas to attend and when to take lessons. We recommend making the most of every day in Buenos Aires — but the pace is yours to set.

The $700 deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel more than 15 days before the start date, we'll work with you on rescheduling to a future group where possible. Cancellations within 15 days of the start are non-refundable. This is exactly why travel insurance with trip-cancellation coverage is required — it protects you, not just us.

Lessons are conducted in Spanish and English. Your hosts are always present to assist with translation if needed.

Buenos Aires is a large city, and like any major city it requires normal awareness. The neighbourhoods where we operate — Recoleta, San Nicolás, Palermo, Microcentro — are well-lit, well-trafficked, and used by locals every night of the week. Milongas typically run late into the night, and participants travel to and from them regularly without issue. We give you practical guidance before the trip on how to move around safely, which routes to use, and what to avoid. And throughout your stay, you have direct WhatsApp access to us — if you're ever unsure about something, just ask.

Yes. About two weeks before your arrival, you'll have a personal online planning session with your hosts. We'll discuss your tango level, goals, accommodation, what to pack, where to exchange money, how to get around the city, and answer any questions you have. You'll also receive your personal Liviano Trip Guide with recommendations, useful tips, and your preliminary schedule.
